Walton Smith Consultants – Quantity Surveyors on the new Walgett 16M Police Station
Posted by
One of the more exciting projects Walton Smith Consultants have been involved in recently is the construction of the new Walgett police station. They had their grand opening on 21st of September this year.
The $16 million building was opened by the Governor of NSW, Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley, AC, DSC (Ret’d), NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Justice and Police Troy Grant and NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione.
This was a 15 month long project for Walton Smith Consultants. During the construction phase we provided cost plan services and contract administration.
This state-of-the-art facility has been a long time coming for the Walgett and surrounding communities. It is a big step forward as they are now equipped with the same state of the art facilities as their metropolitan counterparts.
It is great to be a part of a project that protects and supports regional and remote communities in NSW.
